Over a month ago (lazy blogger alert) I treated myself to some new MAC
bits because, well, in all honesty, I deserved them! I slaved my summer away
going to work like every other normal person, I walked around sometimes, I
breathed a lot which I’m sure you’ll agree is extremely physically and
emotionally taxing. (Sidenote: I really did not deserve these MAC things but I
have no self-control and I hate myself). I almost always have the MAC website
open in a tab, just staring at me, teasing me, and so I’ve always got a
humongous list of stuff I *NEED* to buy. (un)Luckily for me, a MAC store opened
in Exeter, so all the make up I could ever need was on my doorstep. Here’s what
I bought!
MAC Studio Fix Powder +
Foundation in NW15
This is always on my repurchase list because it’s the only powder that
does me any justice. This powder has extra foundation packed into it, so it
delivers that extra (and very necessary) layer of coverage to hide away my
never-ending spots and guess-who-got-shitfaced-last-night eye bags. It’s also
one of the very few MAC foundation products that come anywhere near to matching
my skintone.
MAC Sheertone Blush in
Blushbaby
YAAAAAAAS my second ever MAC blush! My first one was an absolute shambles
of a purchase; a bright coral toned blush that made me look like a pillock. I
have never ever touched it since, but I’ve always known I was missing out on
MAC’s blushes in a big way, so I invested! Blushbaby is stunning at first
glance; delicate, fresh, sheer and natural.
MAC Lipstick in Velvet
Teddy
Again, another repurchase. When our lord and saviour Kylie Jenner first
rocked this lip, I knew I was going to need to try it, but it has actually
become my favourite every lipstick and I wear is practically every day. I love
the darker nude tone, and it is so confortable and beautiful and stays matte
all day. Sure, I have other lipsticks, but none will have ever touched my heart
and soul in the way that my bae Velvet Teddy has.
MAC Lipstick in Stone
This is such an ooooh guuurl lipstick and I’m so so so excited I’ve got it
now. When I first chose it and got it home, I was a bit grossed out and
questioned my every life choice up until that moment, and wondered why I had
selected such a minging colour. I didn’t use it at all for a couple of weeks
but then found a stunning blogger who was looking incredible in hers, so I
retried mine and fell in love. I even got my nails done to match it yesterday
as it’s become such a staple in my weekly makeup. Even my dad says it looks
great on me and he is a stony-faced middle class dude that dishes out
approximately 0 compliments per year!
Lots of love,
Jasmine x
Nothing beats a MAC splurge! I recently bought Twig but need Velvet Teddy in my life!
